Display and talks are FREE, and do not require advanced registration but seating is limited for the talks so please arrive early if you require a seat. Updated 08/09/2016. Alissa Allen of Mycopigments will have a hands on educational booth demonstrating how to use wild mushrooms to dye silk. This drop-in booth is suitable for all ages. Silk scarves will be available for purchase for you to dye yourself. She will provide design tools and instruction for making elegant patterns, or you can work with pre-designed material. Your scarf will be a beautiful accessory and an interesting conversation piece. No advanced registration necessary.
11am-1pm *Workshop* Mushroom Farming ($15) ~sold out~ This workshop will be led by Philippe Amstistlavski and will use locally harvested cottonwoods to inoculate with oyster mushroom spawn so you can have your own mushroom garden at home! Register online at Brown Paper Tickets.
